Detroit Free Press  application for summer internships is open, and I invite everyone to share this far and wide.  The number of positions is TBD, but I hope to have spots in reporting, photo, video and digital. 

In addition to hands-on newsroom experience, (thanks to you all), interns receive specialized training in areas like filing freedom of information requests and understanding how to use data in their stories, as well as meaningful professional experiences and mentoring that they can take back to school or to their first jobs.

The Scripps Howard Fund is accepting internship applications for its nonprofit newsrooms program now through Saturday, Jan. 31. We are partnering with 24 different INN member newsrooms around the country to place dynamic interns into paid positions for 10 or 20- weeks during the summer 2025.
